You may remember when Artaissance Chief Curator, Steve, took Bravo TV “Top Design” contestant, Kerry Howard on a tour of the Artaissance facility back in April of ‘09…
Well, see that fabulous , *BIG* piece of art from the Biltmore Collection for Artaissance, specifically from the Hepplewhite furniture series behind the group?!? Apparently Kerry did because he called up recently asking about it. It seems that he envisioned it within Atlanta’s 2010 Callanwolde Holiday House dining room, of which, he is the featured local designer.
Unfortunately, this specific framed piece had moved on to greener pastures – presumably as a focal piece in some lucky person’s home – so, I offered to show Kerry the whole Biltmore Hepplewhite series, in the various colorways, and share with him the many customization tools within the Artaissance website to see if he wanted to have his own piece custom-printed for the holiday home. Luckily, he jumped on the idea and began to peruse the website. He explained to me that the sky blue color of the piece is what really caught his attention initially, as other pops of blue will be appearing in the Callanwolde Holiday House dining room. After sorting through all of the “sky blue” imagery available in this art series, Kerry landed on the perfect artwork for the focal point of his holiday dining room project:

Once he made his final art selection, we invited Kerry & his lovely team member, Erin, over to Larson-Juhl’s Atlanta Support Center to work with Greg Perkins on their frame design for the piece. Here they are finalizing a fantastic stacked frame combination, which will work perfectly with this art piece and its oversize dimensions that Kerry requested…
I cannot wait to see the final, completed piece – I think it’s just going to be spectacular and act as an ideal focal piece for Kerry’s Callanwolde Holiday House dining room project
Many thanks to Kerry and his team for featuring Artaissance in such a prestigious show home!
