Guest Blogger: Celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month | ArtThatFits Blog

This post focuses on a recent promotion Larson-Juhl ran to raise awareness of Breast Cancer during the month of October. Not only did this project inspire people to utilize some fun pink colored custom framing products, it also brought Breast Cancer to mind during an important fund-raising month.

Without any more ado, here’s Meg Lange with her “Celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month” blog post:

I grew up in central Illinois, which happens to be the home of the Susan G. Komen organization. The annual Race for the Cure event was a tradition in my family and I always looked forward to reaching the top of the hill, where I would glimpse the sea of pink – thousands of women (and later men) walking together in support and honor of the millions of people fighting breast cancer. It was truly moving and inspiring.

This year Larson-Juhl is thrilled to donate $4,822 to the fight against breast cancer! In addition, we are giving the gift of art to the three custom framers who purchased the most pink frames and matboards during the month of October.

Congratulations to…

We are already at work on Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2011. To help me put on my rose-colored glasses, I’ve been perusing the Artaissance site for some favorite pieces in shades of pink. Enjoy!

Well I’m certainly tickled pink & absolutely inspired… Thanks to Meg for sharing the details on this exciting promotion from Larson-Juhl & of course her own experiences supporting the Susan G. Komen foundation!

Here’s to an even greater impact for Larson-Juhl’s Breast Cancer Awareness month program 2011!
